Data and privacy

There are currently two aims for data collection through this site: to gather evidence of happiness and joy on the streets of London, and to find out more about what residents and visitors appreciate about or are grateful for in the city. These questions are not intended to lead to statistical or demographic analysis, and so I have tried to limit my questions to what I really need to know. Later versions of the questionnaire may ask for further or different information, and I’ll revise this notice if that happens

I may make use of any information submitted either publicly or in an academic context. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. If at any point you would like to withdraw the information you’ve submitted to these surveys please do get in touch

I aim to collect and process all data anonymously – so please don’t include your name, anyone else’s or any other information that might identify you. Any information that you supply will be retained until at least 31st December 2028.
